One hundred and twenty-eight photographers, editors, curators and members of the public attended the day-long workshop on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, created for the FotoFest 2010 Biennial by Mary Virginia Swanson and Katrina D'Autremont. Participants learned how to evaluate, choose and use online tools that are the most effective for targeting and broadening audiences for artwork.

David Bram ( showed how the online magazine is being used as a forum for community dialogue and education.  The ASMP Education Director Susan Carr and ASMP President Richard Kelly led ASMP's acclaimed presentation
Protecting Copyright in the Digital Environment.

The afternoon featured a panel of gallery, publishing, museum and magazine professionals discussed their creative practice today as it incorporates new communication and presentation platforms. Mary Virginia Swanson led a Q and A discussion with participants and presenters on the changes in the communication industry as well as a look at what experts think the future is likely to bring in the media world.

The "Beyond Print" workshop presented diversity of the web-based ways of promoting the work that way enormously stimulating, and made me consider new opportunities to seek for and approach the new audiences
